This week I was privileged to finally have Michael Dow on the show. He has spent his entire saved life in a few different types of ministries, one of which was a missional community called King’s People in Charlotte, N.C. He now is apprenticing with Daniel Kolenda, of Christ For All Nations, doing massive crusade evangelism around the world.
Shortly after having published the podcast interview/discussion I had with Eric Gilmour back in January, Eric sent me a message out of the blue suggesting that I need to have Michael on the podcast. I knew if Eric said so, then I should, but I delayed the invitation until I could read Michael’s book and get an idea of what his message might be.
I reached out to him a few weeks ago and we planned a Skype call but didn’t wind up recording, and I was surprised to hear how much he has been involved with house churches and missional communities, and felt all the more encouraged that we needed to go forward and recorded something together.
We discuss Michael’s thoughts regarding both ends of the spectrum when it comes to small tight-knit community and seeing hundreds of thousands of people accept Christ in single meetings.
Make sure to get a copy of Michael’s book, Free Indeed: Free To Live a Life of Obedience.
Also, here’s the link to the sermons I mentioned in the discussion about Family on Mission together.
