Greetings friends, enemies and frenemies hate-reading my blog.
ACX has just released the latest audiobook I performed for Praying Medic. This is my fifth one to date in his Kingdom of God Made Simple series. Which book this time?
Traveling in the Spirit Made Simple.
I began recording it immediately after I finished the Dream Interpretation book earlier this year, but it took a while longer as this book is nearly double the length of others in the series.
Then, we hit a snafu in that apparently someone else tried claiming the copyright to this book on ACX, and made the author jump through a number of hoops to prove it was really his own book.
I will write a post about the lessons learned from this for steps authors should take on ACX even if you will never produce an audiobook. Edit: Done, here it is.
Below is the retail sample for the book on YouTube.
It’s different than the other four audiobooks I’ve done for this author to date. To be honest, when I first tried reading this one 6 years ago or so, I gave up as it felt a little “out there” for me. But as I got to work on it after having a close family member nearly lose their life and claims to have experienced things described in this book while in the hospital, I opened my mind and I REALLY came to enjoy this while working on it at just the right time earlier this year.
I think you might, too.
Here’s the Amazon book description
Is spiritual travel just astral projection or does God use it today?
Many Christians today say they are traveling into the heavens, but others are not convinced that “spiritual travel” is used by God. The reason could be that no one has provided convincing evidence showing how it is different from astral projection.
If you’re uncertain whether spiritual travel is used by God or only by the New Age and the occult, this book will help you uncover the truth. The author compares astral projection and spiritual travel side by side. His research suggests that they are not the same thing. He provides a thorough examination of the scriptures which demonstrate that the prophets and apostles have been traveling in the spirit for centuries. Far from being restricted to the occult, spiritual travel is actually a tool that is intended to be used by God to accomplish His divine purposes.
With the same down-to-earth teaching style he used in Seeing in the Spirit Made Simple and Divine Healing Made Simple, Praying Medic provides Bible-based teaching, dozens of testimonies and simple illustrations that will help even the least experienced person understand spiritual travel. Exercises are provided at the end of key chapters to help activate your spirit.
Traveling in the Spirit Made Simple can help you in the practice of divine healing, deliverance, intercession and many other forms of ministry. But most importantly, it will help you know God in a more personal way.
This book is part of a series The Kingdom of God Made Simple — a self-study course designed to train believers to live the life offered to them as heirs of God’s kingdom. Here’s a preview of what you’ll learn:

This sample clip, while recorded for Praying Medic’s book, is actually of an excerpt from Michael Van Vlymen’s book, Supernatural Transportion, which the author had used with permission. If you like it and want Michael to have the rest of this book made into audio format, let him know and make sure to tell him about me.
Just kidding, I had my editor select this portion and shared it directly with him earlier this year to let him hear the possibilities. Don’t pester him, but if you did like it, let him know.
While I was waiting for the copyright thing to get sorted out, I got a couple of FB buddies to listen to it and this is the feedback I was given:
I have listened to it twice now.
Probably the best audiobook you have done.

I asked Jesus if this [audiobook] would reignite anything in me. I felt Him say listen anyway. I am part of a small portion of people that have Aphantasia (0.8 of the worlds population)
When I got saved in 1997 I traveled and spoke and did many things in this book but there was no spiritual support in my circle. Sometime in Bible college it disappeared. I haven’t thought much of it. This book is making me think about it again. I was inclined to believe it was wrong to experience what I was doing. In the book when it talked about practice and imagining, I have never and can’t imagine (seeing with my imagination) but I once did these things.

If you want to get encouraged and edified in a topic that’s not quite talked about in many orthodox, or let’s face it, even in many charismatic circles, grab a copy of the audiobook below.
